Blue Point Nude, 1973
Blue ballpoint ink and pencil, 8.25" x 7" on 8.5" x 11" bond paper. Meticulously rendered torso of naked woman reaching for door. Maxon's masterpiece of this early period. Paper has small tears and creases at left edge and top. Erasures, a few tiny tan stains, and white-out (around raised shoe). Long crease, one-inch in from right side just grazes left hand. Reproduced in Maxon Crumb: The Monograph (John Natsoulas Press, 2010).
